I am Stephanie da Silva Faria, as the name might already suggest to some, a Brazilian multidisciplinary designer currently based in Bremen, Germany. Since 2022 I am pursuing my Master of Arts degree in the Mensh Mode und Gesellschaft (Men, Fashion and Society) Studio at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen.
During my bachelor’s degree, generalist Design, I focused my studies mainly on the graphic field, organizing and working on zines and print fairs in Curitiba and Budapest. Since 2014 I have also been working in the graphic field in a variety of areas, from designing patterns for textile, to creating booklets for real state companies and websites for architects. More recently, I have been working with science communication as a graphic designer of the post production team of the 3.17 million subscribers (as of Nov. 2024) Youtube channel PBS Space Time.
In my Master’s program I decided to shift to the fashion field, an old passion that I decided to consider more as a career than a hobby during the pandemics, after doing a Circular Fashion course, which currently led me to the beginning of my research line that revolves around sustainability, hauntology, death and clothing.
I am also experimenting with designing headpieces, metal crochet, upcycling, and different types of printing on fabric, from traditional silkscreen to cyanotype.
